Physio-led · New Zealand

Stay independent. Grow with your peers.

Independent Allied Health Network is a physio-led network that brings independent physiotherapy practices, and other independent allied health clinicians, together for education, peer support and shared learning, while each practice stays independently owned and run.

Who it’s for

Independent physiotherapy practices, and other independent allied health and musculoskeletal clinicians, across New Zealand who want to stay in charge of their own clinic, and still have a practical way to connect with peers.

Practice owners

Owner-operated physio practices first, with independent osteopaths, chiropractors, podiatrists, hand therapists and other allied health clinicians welcome too.

Nationwide

From regional towns to the main centres — open to independent practices across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Still yours

Your brand, your team, your clinical decisions. Membership does not mean selling or merging.

How it works

Getting involved is simple, and there is no commitment at the first step.

  1. Register your interest

Fill in the short form below with your name, practice and contact details. It takes a couple of minutes.

  2. Join the education session

Come along to our education session in late November 2026 to meet other owners and hear more about the network.

  3. Become a member practice

If it feels right for your practice, join as a member — and keep running your clinic your way.

Your first 90 days

Membership is currently free, so you can see what the network offers before deciding how involved to be.

Why owners are talking to us

These are the issues independent owners raise with us most often.

  1. Staying independent

Owners want the benefits of a larger group without selling their practice or losing their brand.

  2. Not working alone

Running a practice can be isolating. A trusted peer group makes the hard decisions easier.

  3. Planning what comes next

Many owners want their practice to stay clinician-owned when they eventually step back.

What members get

Practical support that helps independent practices thrive, while each one remains independently owned.

Education and professional development

Clinical education sessions, peer learning and development opportunities for you and your team.

Shared outcome and referral data

De-identified outcome data, and sharing referral data and pathways, so practices can learn from one another and improve care.

Peer network

Connect with other independent owners for clinical discussion, practical advice and a friendly sounding board.

Participating in contracts

The option to take part, as a network, in contracts held by other organisations — one benefit among several.

Practice succession support

Support for owners planning what comes next, with the aim of keeping practices clinician-owned.

Our principles

These principles guide everything the network does.

About

Independent Allied Health Network was set up by Manoj Patel, working with a founding group of experienced independent practice owners. The aim is simple: help independent physiotherapy practices and allied health clinicians thrive, while staying independently owned.

The network is being built with owners, not for them. Founding members help set its direction, and every practice keeps making its own decisions.

If you own an independent practice or work as an independent clinician and like the sound of learning and growing alongside your peers, I would love to hear from you.

Manoj
