1. About these terms

These terms apply to this website and to anyone who registers interest in the Independent Allied Health Network (operated by Manoj Patel until an operating entity is established) ("the network", "we", "us"). By using this website or registering your interest, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Independent businesses

Each member practice and clinician is an independent business. Members are not employees, partners, joint venturers or agents of the network or of each other, and no member has authority to bind the network. Each member makes its own business decisions independently, including its own prices and terms. Members do not set or discuss fees together.

3. No referral guarantees

We do not promise or guarantee referrals, patient volumes, contracts or income. Any referral decisions are made by clinicians and patients, based on clinical grounds and patient choice.

4. Clinical quality

The network does not guarantee, certify or endorse the clinical quality of any individual practice or clinician. Each practice is responsible for its own registration (for example with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand or the relevant responsible authority under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003), its own care, and its own legal and professional compliance. Members must not say or imply that the network endorses their clinical quality. Any quality standards we describe are shared aims, not guarantees.

5. Membership

Membership is currently free. In future the network may introduce optional paid services or other propositions. These would be optional, described clearly, and would only apply to a member who agrees to them.

6. Website information

Information on this website is general information only. It is not clinical or professional advice. Patients should not rely on it to make treatment decisions and should talk to a qualified health professional.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply. If you use this website or register interest for the purposes of a business, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, as allowed by section 43 of that Act.

8. Privacy

We collect personal information through our registration form, which uses Google Forms. Google stores the form data on our behalf. We use your information to contact you about the network and our education session, and we handle it in line with the Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to ask for access to, and correction of, your personal information. We do not sell personal information. Any sharing of de-identified data would happen only by agreement. Please do not send health information through this site. For privacy requests, use the registration form or contact Manoj Patel.

9. Intellectual property

The content of this website, including text, design and images, belongs to the network or its licensors. You may view and share it for personal or non-commercial purposes, but you must not copy or reuse it for other purposes without our permission.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the courts of New Zealand have jurisdiction.
